Ian Donald writes…

This was published in The Daily Telegraph of July 15 1969. The squadron was on camp at RAF Abingdon and was visited by a reporter (George Turnbull) and photographer who produced a full page article for the paper. The gist was that the RAF was about to start recruiting university graduates as it saw its future requiring such clever people…! The two newspaper guys were taken for a formation and tail chase ride and were so impressed that they both threw up.
The photo shows (left to right), Cadet Pilots Graham Locke, Ian Donald (yours truly) and A.N. Other, whose name I do not recall. If anyone would like a copy of the article, do let me know.
